Some words in the English language have different meanings that make them difficult to translate because from one business language to the next, some wording and understanding can be lost. In the other Indo-European languagesapart from rare exceptions in Scandinavian languagesnouns and verbs are never identical because of the necessity of separate noun and verb endings. Simple shortenings, such as ad for advertisement, that some time ago might have been sneered at by some are now in common use.
